The Bio

Tim Middlemiss has seen social impact from every angle.

As Chief of Staff to former World Vision Australia CEO, Tim Costello AO, Tim played a key role in driving initiatives for one of the largest humanitarian organisations.

He then led global engagement for LeapFrog Investments, a pioneer in impact investing which saw the largest ever single investment into impact, and built the Foundation and impact-led growth strategy for Harrison.AI, a rapidly scaling health-tech company.

Before that, Tim co-founded Agency, a for-purpose creative studio that worked on hundreds of impact projects across Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United States. Agency was recognised as one of Westpac’s Businesses of Tomorrow for its groundbreaking work.

A sought-after speaker, Tim has keynoted at leadership conferences globally and was named an Obama Foundation Leader for Asia-Pacific in 2020.

Amateur sports journalist

Oh yes, he has hot takes on sports - of all kinds. Tim is a major fan of Arsenal Football Club and can often be caught using the term "we" when talking about the team. If there's a sport you follow, Tim will want to talk about it... except if it's F1

Incurable extrovert

You've been warned, Tim's favourite talk is small talk. Combine that with his well honed passion for Dad jokes and anecdotes, and you've got a recipe for disaster. At least you know if you have a Zoom call, it won't be awkward.

Attenborough-lite

Talk to Tim long enough (sub 5 mins we reckon), and he will tell you that he worked at Taronga and could survive for weeks in the wild. Tim can tell you a fact about almost any animal you can think of, although we can't guarantee any of them are accurate.
